Biden on Trump's claim former presidents wanted to build wall: 'Come on'

"I can't think of a single one who said that," said Biden, who is considered to be a potential 2020 candidate.


Biden then listed presidents who would not want a wall, starting with former President Carter, and said "come on." 

Trump said to reporters at the Rose Garden Friday that former presidents have told him they wished they had built a wall themselves while they were in office.

There is currently a partial government shutdown over whether to provide the White House's demanded $5 billion in funding for a border wall in a bill to reopen the government. The shutdown entered its 15th day Saturday.
