Lee during an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation” said Trump has a “unique approach” that is different from previous presidents.
“It’s not going to do any good for me or anyone else to come in and just comment on things we might not like about his Twitter behavior,” Lee told host John Dickerson.
Lee’s comments come after Trump called MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski “crazy” last week and said the last time he saw the TV host she was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”
“The best thing we can do when we want to elevate civil dialogue in our American political discourse is to do whatever we can to make sure we treat others kindly with dignity and respect and that’s what I intend to do,” Lee said on Sunday.
