"We still have a little work to do," Corker said, as reported by Reuters. "It's not quite done, but it feels like it's moving to a good place."

Corker called a previous statement that a deal had been reached between both parties "somewhat premature," the news outlet said.

The push for a bill on Russia sanctions comes as special counsel Robert Mueller conducts the investigation into Russia's election meddling and any potential ties between President Trump's campaign staff members and the Kremlin.
