“President Trump, if he can lead us to ending the Korean War after 70 years and getting North Korea to give up their nuclear program in a verifiable way, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize and then some,” Graham told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

“I want to be there. It may be the first time the Nobel Peace Prize was given and there was mass casualties because I think a lot of liberals would kill themselves if they did that,” he said.

“But the bottom line is, by any objective measure what President Trump has done is historic,” Graham added.

Graham has has previously called for Trump to win a Nobel Peace Prize if he's able to get North Korea to agree to denuclearize.

The crowd at a rally Trump held Saturday night in Michigan began chanting "Nobel, Nobel" when he mentioned planned talks with North Korea.

"That's very nice, thank you. That's very nice," Trump said in response to the chants.

Trump has committed to a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un later this year. Kim and South Korean president Moon Jae-in held a historic summit last week, agreeing to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
