Jeff Flake becoming Harvard fellow

Former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake (R) will join Harvard's Institute of Politics this fall as a resident fellow, the university announced Thursday.

Other fellows include Black Voters Matter Fund co-founder LaTosha Brown, The Atlantic President Bob Cohn and former Panamanian Vice President and Foreign Minister Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado.

Flake retired from Congress at the beginning of this year.

While in the Senate, he was a vocal critic of President Trump, although he often ended up voting with him regardless.

After some rumors, Flake announced in January that he would not seek the GOP nomination for president in 2020 and signed on with CBS News as a political contributor.
