The New York Police Department issued an "all-clear" on Friday after responding to a report of suspicious items at Trump Tower in New York City.

The Associated Press reported that police initially responded to a report of a “suspicious item" from an officer stationed at Trump Tower on Friday afternoon. A separate CNN report indicated that police were investigating three items in three separate locations.

Fifth Avenue was closed in front of the building as police conducted the search, according to news reports, starting around 4:30 p.m.

At around 7:15 p.m., the "all-clear" was issued and the block was reopened to foot and vehicle traffic.

Police did not issue any details on what item or items were found.
