Louisiana woman says deputy coerced her into performing sex act on infant son

A Louisiana sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and accused of coercing a woman to perform a sex act on her 1-year-old son.

St. Gabriel Police Chief Kevin Ambeau told reporters Saturday that Shaderick Jones, a deputy in the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, was arrested last week and terminated from his position after the police became aware of a video of the incident, which was allegedly filmed by Jones, The Advocate reported

The mother, Iyehesa Todd, reportedly told investigators that Jones told her he wouldn't arrest her for an open warrant she had for a traffic ticket if she performed a sexual act on her child. Ambeau said Todd told investigators that Jones said it was his "fantasy."

Todd also told personnel working on the case that Jones filmed the incident.

Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said that St. Gabriel police officers arrested Jones on Friday. Stassi added that Jones was terminated immediately.

The Advocate noted that in addition to arresting Jones, authorities seized several electronic devices from his home after executing a search warrant.

Ambeau, citing witnesses who have gained access to the devices, said the police had proof Jones possessed pornography. But it remains unclear if any of the images on the devices in question included children.

Ambeau additionally noted that GPS tracking for Jones’s sheriff’s cruiser placed him at Todd's residence on Thursday afternoon and that he remained there for about two hours, according to The Advocate, which noted that the incident was recorded at 4:38 p.m.

The police chief reportedly said a third party had shared the video with the department on Friday.

“I have 30 years of experience,” Ambeau said. “This is at the top of the list for the worst case. I have never witnessed something so disgusting — it’s sickening to your stomach to see.”

The Advocate noted that Jones has been charged with first-degree rape, malfeasance in office and pornography involving juveniles. Meanwhile, Todd has been charged with first-degree rape and incest and was booked into Iberville Parish jail.

They are both being held without bond. Ambeau told The Advocate that the Department of Children and Family Services took the child into protective custody last week.
