A California school district is taking disciplinary action against a teacher after she was caught on camera going on a political rant about COVID-19 vaccines, the 2020 election and Hunter Biden, CBS Los Angeles reports.

An eighth-grader at Anacapa Middle School in Ventura secretly filmed the history teacher while she lectured the class, telling them, “If you have a baby in the hospital, they don’t want to give it back if you’re not vaccinated. This is a complete power control threat.”

The teacher also made claims about the Bidens during the seven-minute recording taken on Oct. 18, including that Hunter Biden “is doing deals with China and Ukraine where he was funneling money illegally.”

She added of the president’s son, “He also had child pornography on his laptop. He was having sexual intercourse with his own niece.”

Sarah Silikula, the parent of the child who filmed the rant, said she respects people’s individual political beliefs, but that it wasn’t an appropriate setting for the comments.

“I mean, why? Why does that need to be said in this classroom full of children,” Silikula asked, noting that her son was very upset when she picked him up from school that day.

“He announced, ‘I’m never getting vaccinated. I’m never getting any more shots of any kind. Did you know Trump’s still president?'” she said.

The Ventura school district reportedly condemned the teacher’s comments, telling CBSLA they that conducted an investigation and will apply its “progressive discipline policy” agreed to with the teachers’ union.

The kids in the class have been assigned another teacher, and the teacher involved in the incident remains employed at the school, CBSLA reported.
