“[The] White House is being very responsive, very concerned about the people of Texas, and a tremendous help to us,” Abbott said.

During another Sunday show interview, the governor said he gives the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) an "A plus" grade.

“I give FEMA a grade of A plus, all the way to the president….all across the board, from the White House, to the federal administration to FEMA," he told "Fox News Sunday."

The storm is blamed for at least five deaths, and severe flooding is reported in Houston and other towns in southeastern Texas.
