Abby Huntsman named new co-host of ‘Fox and Friends Weekend’

Fox News has named Abby Huntsman its new co-host of “Fox and Friends Weekend.”

Huntsman is the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, a  Republican presidential candidate in 2012. She previously hosted “The Cycle” on  MSNBC from 2013 to 2015.

Suzanne Scott, Fox News’s executive vice president of programming, says the 30-year-old Huntsman will make her official debut this Saturday.

“Abby’s energetic reporting and ability to connect with our viewers make her a great addition on the curvy couch,” said Scott. “We are pleased to welcome her to the ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ team.”

{mosads}According to Nielsen research, “Fox & Friends Weekend” is registering its highest ratings in network history, up 26 percent in total viewers, to 1.250 million, during 2016 and up 25 percent in the 25-54 age demographic, to 256,000.

“I am honored that FOX News has given me the opportunity to fulfill my lifelong dream of delivering the morning news and am excited to officially join the FOX & Friends family,” Huntsman said in a statement.

Forbes named her among the “30 under 30” in media in 2013. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
