The Washington Post Express featured the male symbol in a Thursday morning cover story about the upcoming Women's March on Washington.

The Express — the Post's free daily paper — has since sent out tweets acknowledging the error.

Reaction on social media was swift, however.

Gloria Steinem is the honorary co-chair of the march, along with Harry Belafonte.

The event will include actresses Olivia Wilde and Jessica Chastain, and comedians Samantha Bee and Amy Schumer.
