Report: O'Reilly getting 'tens of millions' in Fox severance

Bill O'Reilly will receive "tens of millions" in severance from Fox News, CNN reported Thursday.

21st Century Fox announced a day earlier that O’Reilly would not return to the network in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.

More than 90 advertisers fled following a New York Times report earlier this month that five women were paid $13 million by O'Reilly or Fox to settle sexual harassment suits.

The 67-year-old former cable news king recently signed a multiyear contract reportedly worth $25 million per year.

The $25 million annual salary was the same amount reportedly offered to former Fox star Megyn Kelly, who jumped to NBC. O'Reilly’s extension ran through 2021, according to CNN.

O'Reilly was the most-watched host in cable news over the past 15 years.

Tucker Carlson will take over his 8 p.m. time slot on Monday, marking the third time slot Carlson has occupied over the past four months.
