Abby Huntsman officially joins 'The View,' releases new cast photo

"Fox & Friends" co-host Abby Huntsman on Tuesday officially announced she will be leaving Fox News to join ABC's "The View" for its 22nd season. 

Huntsman posted a cast photo of herself standing beside the rest of the all-female panel, which includes actress Whoopi Goldberg, fellow former Fox News co-host Meghan McCain, ABC News correspondent Sunny Hostin and comedian Joy Behar. 


Huntsman in a separate statement said she is looking forward to adding her own "point of view" to the show, according to Variety

Senior executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin told Variety she is excited about Huntsman's contributions to "The View's" conversations about politics and pop culture. 

“She brings her unique life and professional experiences and has a smart, relatable and distinctive point of view on everything from pop culture to politics to parenthood," McLoughlin said. "We can’t wait to return to the Hot Topics table with Abby joining our panel of incredibly talented women whose diverse voices have always played a significant role in the national conversation.”

Huntsman is the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. (R), who currently serves as the U.S. ambassador to Russia.
