Democrats mustered more blatant hypocrisy over the weekend, trying to show support for Labor Day, an annual holiday that celebrates workers in America. These are the same men and women all across the country that Democrats have been hurting in lockdowns since this spring.

Speaker Nancy PelosiNancy PelosiTrump expressed doubt to donors GOP can hold Senate: report Senators battle over Supreme Court nominee in rare Saturday session Sunday shows preview: Trump, Biden gear up for final sprint to Election Day MORE tweeted that “House Democrats are unified in our commitment” to workers and families. This is ironic because she refuses to negotiate with House Republicans in the stimulus package to provide relief to workers with the pandemic and economic downturn. This is the same lawmaker who broke the rules of California Democrats and visited one hair salon while several businesses had to remain closed.

Pelosi does not stand up for the little guys. What about the rest of the hair salon owners all across the country? But Democrats could care less about whether they are supporters of Donald TrumpDonald John TrumpObama slams Trump in Miami: 'Florida Man wouldn't even do this stuff' Trump makes his case in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin Pence's chief of staff tests positive for COVID-19 MORE or Joe BidenJoe BidenObama slams Trump in Miami: 'Florida Man wouldn't even do this stuff' Trump makes his case in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin Brad Pitt narrates Biden ad airing during World Series MORE. Many of them want to destroy capitalism in order to usher in a modern era for socialism. Democrats across the country are marching to the same beat.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio threatened to forbid inside diners over winter, which would further damage those already struggling restaurants. Blue states continue to suffer from outrageous restrictions on businesses and workers that our government made an annual holiday for.

All wealth is evil to folks such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who believe our personal property and financial independence aside from the government must be dissolved in order to achieve their vision. The workers celebrated on Labor Day would not exist, since we would be “equal” with our misery. Take one look at Venezuela.

Understanding why capitalism is critical to our pursuit of happiness is why many workers, including some Democrats, support the president. Workers across the political spectrum have one main thing in common. They know that this opportunity to reach prosperity is essential and that the freedom to strive for personal achievement is a fundamental right. The president is absolutely correct to declare that America can never be a socialist nation. We are the land of great workers. We want to retain our jobs.

What Democrats do not realize, even amidst their lower numbers, is that at the end of the day, people always vote in their best interests. Workers know from experience why capitalism provides the best opportunity for economic prosperity. Even more importantly, they know why capitalism marks the best ideology for their families and for our country.
