Five US troops responsible for Quran burnings, investigation finds

The Post reported that the five U.S. troops involved will be
reprimanded, according to U.S. military officials, but it’s unlikely their
names will be released and that the punishment would be as severe as some in
Afghanistan are calling for. There will not be a public trial.

It remains unclear whether the investigation’s release will
quell the stream of violence in Afghanistan. U.S. officials also worry that a
separate Afghan investigation, which the Post said will be concluded in several
days, could revive the protests and violence if it arrives at a different
