Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton among military households by 10 percentage points, according to a new NBC News/SurveyMonkey online poll.

Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, received 51 percent support, while Clinton, his Democratic counterpart, received 41 percent in the poll, which was conducted Aug. 1-7.

{mosads}The poll comes after Trump’s public feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the Muslim parents of a U.S. soldier who was killed in the Iraq War.

Among men from military households, Trump was ahead of Clinton 58 percent to 34 percent.

However, the poll showed that women from military households prefer Clinton over the real estate mogul, 49 percent to 43 percent.

The poll also showed that black and Hispanic voters from military households heavily favor Clinton.

Black voters from military households overwhelmingly preferred Clinton over Trump, 80 percent to 16 percent.

And Hispanic voters from military households favored the former secretary of State, 52 percent to Trump’s 37 percent

The poll was made up of responses from 11,480 adults who say they are registered to vote. Of those, 3,123 respondents said they either personally served or live in a household with someone who served in the military.

The online poll did not distinguish between those serving on active duty, retired veterans who have served at least 20 years, or former members of the military.

The polling of military households has an error estimate of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.
