Three Americans killed in 'green-on-blue' attack


According to the ISAF, an individual wearing an Afghanistan National Army uniform "turned his weapon against the ISAF service members in eastern Afghanistan."

An investigation is underway, according to NATO.

Meanwhile, in western Afghanistan, an Italian soldier was killed and three others were wounded when someone threw explosives into an armored vehicle, according to The Guardian. The attack came while the soldiers were coming back to base after training Afghanistan security forces.
