Boston is due to get another snow storm Tuesday that could break the city’s all-time snow record for the season.

After a Monday morning storm that forecasters had said could break the record, Boston’s Logan International Airport had totaled 103.9 inches for the winter, still 3.8 inches from the record set in the 1995-1996 winter, WCVB reported.

“We have come this far, we might as well break the record,” William Babcock, National Weather Service meteorologist in the Taunton, Mass., office, told the Associated Press.

“We have a couple of storms to push us over the record,” he said. “Once that is done we won’t complain if we don’t get any more snow.”

Boston set a new snowfall record in February at 64.8 inches, making it the snowiest month ever for the city. It was also the second coldest month, said WCVB.

Tuesday’s storm could bring 2 to 4 inches to Boston and the surrounding area.
