Clinton applause line: ‘I believe in science’

PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton got major laughs and applause Thursday with a simple declaration: “I believe in science.”

Clinton herself laughed as she delivered the line during her acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic National Convention.

{mosads}”I believe climate change is real and that we could save our planet while creating millions of good playing clean energy jobs,” Clinton said.

Clinton’s laugh line recalled a surreal scene at last week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Rock band Third Eye Blind played a concert there, antagonizing GOP partygoers with between-song banter.

“Raise your hand if you believe in science,” singer Stephan Jenkins said last week, mocking the crowd.
