President TrumpDonald John TrumpMark Kelly clinches Democratic Senate nod in Arizona Trump camp considering White House South Lawn for convention speech: reports Longtime Rep. Lacy Clay defeated in Missouri Democratic primary MORE touted record highs in the stock markets over Twitter on Wednesday.

The president praised an “ALL TIME & HISTORIC HIGH,” saying the country is “lucky to have me as your President.”

“Stock Markets (all three) hit another ALL TIME & HISTORIC HIGH yesterday!” Trump tweeted. “You are sooo lucky to have me as your President (just kidding!). Spend your money well!”

The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a record high of 27,492.63 on Tuesday, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite climbing to a record 8,434.68 the same day. The S&P 500 index reached a record 3,078 on Monday.

Trump has lauded the financial and economic gains during his presidency, including how the unemployment rate was at 3.6 percent last month, slightly up from the 50-year low in September.

The economy’s success has been a focal point of his reelection campaign, with Trump arguing in August that the economy would “go down the tubes” if he lost the 2020 presidential race.

Still, economists have raised concerns about a possible economic downturn next year, particularly because of Trump's year-plus trade war with China.
