Rehberg introduces healthcare law repeal legislation

"We can't afford these incredibly expensive new programs when we are struggling to find ways to fund and save the existing programs like Social Security and Medicare," Rehberg said in a statement announcing the repeal bills. "If we act decisively and stop these programs before they start — before a single dollar or benefit has been paid out — the social and economic impact of their elimination can be avoided."

Democrats point out that repealing the law's subsidies would unravel the law's insurance reforms — including the prohibition against turning down people with pre-existing conditions — and would add more than 30 million to the uninsured rolls by 2021.
