Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is unleashing a new defense of the Confederate flag by arguing it kills fewer blacks than Planned Parenthood.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the former GOP vice presidential candidate shows images of the Confederate flag and the logo for Planned Parenthood, which is under fire for a recent hidden-camera scandal.

#DefundPlannedParenthood

“Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?” the post asks, adding at the bottom, “#defundPlannedParenthood.” The post attracted more than 100,000 likes within one day.

Palin has made a half-dozen Facebook posts attacking Planned Parenthood in the last two weeks, after two secretly recorded videos showed organization officials discussing the preservation of fetal tissue for donation.

Planned Parenthood has forcefully argued that statements in the videos were taken out of context, but they have provided enough fuel for dozens of Republicans in Congress to support defunding the group.

As a vocal anti-abortion advocate, Palin declared herself an ardent foe of Planned Parenthood long before the videos surfaced. Her personal attacks against the group have intensified since the videos, created by the Center for Medical Progress, appeared.

Palin's racially charged post on Sunday was not the first in her campaign against Planned Parenthood.

Last week, she wrote a post that said "80 percent of Planned Parenthood clinics located in minority neighborhoods" — and layered it over a photo of a woman holding a "Black Lives Matter" sign.

Palin’s fiery ad also reflects her strong defense of the Confederate flag even as states across the South have removed it from official symbols and state grounds in the wake of a racially-driven massacre in Charleston, S.C.

The push has been led by South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R), who won Palin’s endorsement during her campaign.
