The anti-abortion rights group March For Life has hired Bethany Peck Goodman as its assistant director, The Hill confirmed Monday.
Goodman comes from the office of Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio), where she has worked for more than four years.
Latta has been an outspoken opponent of abortion rights, introducing or co-sponsoring five bills that focused on the issue, including ones that took aim at federal funding for abortions.
“I will continue to work to enact policies that defend the sanctity of life and protect the right of conscience for all Americans,” Latta said during this year’s March for Life, the annual protest of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision held by the March for Life Education and Defense Fund.
