ObamaCare architect Zeke Emanuel met with Trump administration officials at the White House on Thursday, a White House official confirmed.

The meeting, which was first reported by Vox, follows a sitdown between Emanuel, who advised former President Barack Obama on healthcare, and President Trump earlier this month.

{mosads}After the collapse of the House Republican ObamaCare replacement bill last week, Trump said he thinks the health law will “explode” and Democrats will then come to the table for a deal.

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), though, warned in an interview with CBS this week that he does not want Trump to reach across the aisle.

The last time Emanuel went to the White House, on March 20, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the administration is reaching out to people with differing viewpoints.

“He’s an architect of ObamaCare,” Spicer said then. “I think that despite our political and policy differences, [Trump] wants to hear ideas not just of him but a lot of people.”
