Israel: Syria 'increasingly' using chemical weapons

France and Britain wrote to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon last week telling him they have evidence that Assad's forces have used chemical weapons at least three times since December, near Damascus, Aleppo and Homs; the Syrian government denies the charge and counters that rebels used the weapons in Khan al-Assal, near Aleppo.

The U.N. has formed a team of inspectors to inspect the clashing claims, but they have not been able to enter the country amid a dispute over which sites they can have access to.
