British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fianceé, Carrie Symonds, said Saturday that they named their newborn son after the doctors who oversaw Johnson's treatment while he was in intensive care battling COVID-19.

The couple named their son, born Wednesday, Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas — a nod to Nick Price and Nick Hart, the two intensive care doctors who treated Johnson.

“I couldn’t be happier. My heart is full,” Symonds said, Reuters reported.

The 55-year-old prime minister has praised the doctors at St Thomas' Hospital, saying that they “saved my life, no question."

“We are honored and humbled to have been recognized in this way,” Price told the news wire. “We wish the new family every health and happiness.”

Johnson returned to work Monday after recovering from the coronavirus, which has killed more than 28,000 people in the U.K.
