Egypt, Jordan and Morocco have reportedly told the White House they plan to go to a U.S.-led economic conference in Bahrain that is part of the Trump administration's Middle East peace plan.

There were multiple reports Tuesday of the countries' planned attendance at the summit later this month, which aims to bolster the Palestinian economy and encourage investment in the region. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates had also previously said they would attend, a White House official told Reuters.

The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

The attendance of Egypt and Jordan is reportedly considered particularly crucial since they are in close proximity to Israel and the Palestinian territories.

The official declined to tell the wire service who will represent the countries at the conference.

Palestinian leaders have said they will not attend the meeting.
