New video shows Iranian ship warning UK vessel: 'Don't put your life in danger'

A new video released by Iranian authorities shows officials warning a British warship not to interfere with Iran's seizure of a British tanker in the Strait of Hormuz earlier this month, The Associated Press reported Monday

The nearly two-minute video released by Iran's Revolutionary Guard reportedly shows an officer telling the British warship, "You are ordered to not interfere in my operation."

A British officer responds that the ship is in international waters with the merchant vessel conducting transit passage, according to the AP.

"Don't put your life in danger," the Iranian officer responds, the news service added.

The video adds further details to the July 19 incident when the British Stena Impero ship was seized in the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces.

The British officer is on the warship Foxtrot 236, according to the AP.
