“ISIS attacked Paris hours after @BarackObama claims he has ‘contained’ them, just like he ‘defeated’ al Qaeda and ‘ended the war’ in Iraq,” Cheney tweeted Friday.

Obama said the U.S. was making “progress” against ISIS in an interview with ABC on Thursday.

“From the start, our goal has been first to contain, and we have contained them,” Obama said. “They have not gained ground in Iraq and in Syria.”

The terrorist group has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks in Paris on Friday that killed at least 120 people.

Cheney said Thursday she is considering running for Congress after Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) announced she would not seek a fifth term in the House.
