Doug Band, a former all-purpose aide and “body man” to Bill Clinton during his presidency, lashed out at Chelsea Clinton in an email that was released by WikiLeaks on Monday. The email allegedly came from the inbox of John Podesta, Clinton’s former chief of staff and the current chairman of Democrat Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonUSPS warns Pennsylvania mail-in ballots may not be delivered in time to be counted Senate leaves until September without coronavirus relief deal Gloria Steinem: Selection of Kamala Harris recognizes that 'black women ... are the heart and soul of the Democratic Party' MORE’s presidential campaign.

“She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she's doing because she, as she has said, hasn't found her way and has a lack of focus in her life,” Band said of Chelsea Clinton.

“I realize it is difficult to confront and reason with her but this could go to [sic] far and then we all will have a real serious set of other problems,” he said. “I don't deserve this from her and deserve a tad more respect or at least a direct dialogue for me to explain these things.”

It’s unclear precisely what the two were fighting over, although Band and Chelsea Clinton were believed to be at odds in 2011 when Band, who remained by the Clintons' side after the president left office, left the Clinton Global Initiative to found the consulting firm Teneo.

The firm, which later employed Huma Abedin, a longtime confidante of Hillary Clinton’s, has been accused of benefiting from its ties to the Clinton family and their deep connections within the U.S. government.

Band’s comments to Podesta are contained within a string of messages discussing a memo about Teneo and the work it does.

“I'm also starting to worry that if this story gets out, we are screwed,” he wrote.

“Our business has almost nothing to do with the clintons, [sic] the foundation or cgi [sic] in any way.

“These are real companies who we provide real advice to through very serious people.”
