Manafort is currently in jail ahead of his Virginia trial, scheduled for later this month, and a trial in Washington, D.C., scheduled for September.

He has pleaded not guilty to a slew of financial crimes related to past lobbying work for Russian-linked political groups before the 2016 presidential election.
