Locke proclaims hi-tech trade mission to India a success

On Friday Locke discussed civilian nuclear cooperation between the U.S. and India with Srikumar Banerjee, secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy, and S.K. Jain, chairman of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India.

Locke emphasized the need to resolve outstanding liability and licensing issues in order to move forward on the next stage of the two countries' collaboration on civilian nuclear technology.

He also took the time on Friday to meet with the president of Mumbai's legendary Dabbawala Association, which delivers home-cooked meals to thousands of commuters daily using a highly-efficient process of labeling and sorting that has been cited internationally as a model of supply chain management at the grassroots level.
