House GOP schedules hearing on net-neutrality repeal effort

House Energy and Commerce Republicans have scheduled a hearing on their effort to repeal net-neutrality rules, slated for March 9, at 10:30 a.m. in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.

The hearing comes at the behest of committee Democrats who said this week that the Communications subpanel should not vote on a resolution of disapproval for net-neutrality rules unless there is a hearing first.

Industry sources expect telecom or cable representatives to testify.
