House GOP proposes killing net neutrality to raise debt ceiling

Republicans have long despised the FCC’s net neutrality rules, which require Internet providers to treat all Web traffic equally. The House voted to repeal the rules in 2011, but the effort died in the Senate.

The D.C. Circuit is currently considering Verizon’s lawsuit against the regulations.
