Uber board member Arianna Huffington spoke with CEO Travis Kalanick on Tuesday about gender issues and diversity at the ridesharing company.

“Travis spoke very honestly about the mistakes he’s made — and about how he wants to take the events of the last 48-hours to build a better Uber,” the Huffington Post founder said in a statement.

The hourlong conversation comes days after a former Uber reliability engineer, Susan Fowler, wrote a blog post detailing multiple instances of the company’s human resources department allegedly ignoring and retaliating against her reports of sexual harassment.
