Uber will offer a consolation prize to the fans of the losing team in Sunday's Super Bowl in the form of a free ride home, the ride-share company announced.

Uber on Tuesday shared details of its "Unhappy Hour" promotion, which will last for 60 minutes after the conclusion of Sunday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots.

Riders located in Boston or Los Angeles can access the promotion by tapping on the "Unhappy Hour" promotion at the bottom of the screen on Sunday. The promo will appear for users in the city of the losing team.

"Uber Rewards keeps life moving when life gets in the way, like when the saddest fans on earth just want to go home and cry a little," the company said in a statement.

Users must be Uber Rewards members to access the promotion, and can sign up through the app prior to kickoff.

The promotion is only valid for trips up to $50 on UberX, UberXL, UberPOOL, Express Pool and WAV trips.

The Patriots and Rams will square off in Super Bowl LIII, which kicks off from Atlanta on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
