DC Metro begins selling commemorative Obama inauguration SmarTrip cards

The agency had prepared cards for both Obama and his unsuccessful Republican opponent Mitt Romney. Romney's card would've featured his picture and the phrase "A New Future For America."

Obama's inauguration in 2009 provided Metro with its highest number of passengers in a single day in its 36-year history, when more than one million people rode trains to watch the 44th president take the oath of office.
