Senate transportation advocate Lautenberg dies

Senate transportation committee member Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) died Monday morning after serving in Congress for more than 30 years.

Lautenberg had been a long-time member of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. He frequently pushed for more funding for Amtrak and other long-distance commuter railways and aviation safety regulations.
