A Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged with felony assault after a racist attack on a fellow New York City subway passenger.
Anna Lushchinskaya, 40, was recorded yelling profanities, racial slurs and kicking and striking a 24-year-old Asian woman onboard a D train Tuesday morning, according to ABC7.
Lushchinskaya can be heard referring to the woman she attacked and others with racial slurs. Police said the altercation occurred after Lushchinskaya bumped into the victim.
The victim, who suffered lacerations to her face, according to the report, can be heard responding to her attacker: "You're a disgrace to all white people.”
Police have not charged Lushchinskaya with bias crimes, according to the report. She was arrested at the 36th Street station.
A number of train passengers attempted to intervene and stop Lushchinskaya from continuing to attack the woman. Passengers can be heard asking her to “stop” and “chill out” during the altercation.
ABC7 reported that one good samaritan's face was scratched in the altercation. Lushchinskaya was charged earlier this year after allegedly pepper-spraying a man, also at the 36th Street station, according to the criminal complaint.
