Delta is restoring some flight routes next month that had been suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic, the airline announced Monday

Despite the return of several domestic and international routes, the schedule is “significantly reduced” in comparison to last year's, the airline said.

The airline said it is adding more domestic flights to its June schedule, primarily in Atlanta and New York and between hubs.

The airline is also adding daily flights from several U.S. cities to Canada, as well as flights to the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, South America and Europe.

The schedule, including routes and frequency, remain subject to change “due to the evolving nature of COVID-19,” the airline said.

Delta said customers “can feel confident in a safe flying experience” due to policies the airline has implemented in response to the crisis. The airline is requiring customers and employees wear face coverings during flights.

Delta is also capping seating at 50 to 60 percent capacity on flights and has “elevated its cleaning measures.”
