Hollywood is getting behind President Obama’s push to expand gun control through executive action.

More than 100 celebrities sent a letter to President Obama on Friday, expressing their support for the gun orders he issued this week to expand background checks.

The list of celebrities endorsing the new gun restrictions includes Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Jessica Alba, Nick Cannon and Julianna Margulies.

“We hope members of Congress who have failed to act on the gun violence epidemic will support the will of most Americans and will take similar action to correct what has been a shameful period in our nation’s history,” the celebrities wrote in the letter to Obama.

“No one is challenging the right of law-abiding citizens to responsibly own a firearm,” they added. “But like you, we believe that guns should be kept away from criminals, terrorists, domestic abusers, the dangerously mentally ill and children.”

Signatories of the letter also include Judd Apatow, Edie Falco, Paul Haggis, Jon Hamm, Arianna Huffington, Michael Keaton, Olivia Munn, Mandy Patinkin and Olivia Wilde.
