Monday's meeting announcements: EPA emissions rule hearings


The Securities and Exchange Commission is holding a public meeting April 10 to discuss rules to crack down on identify theft.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors is meeting April 10 to discuss personnel matters and on April 11 to discuss compliance. 

The Federal Election Commission is meeting April 11 to discuss an audit report on the California Republican Party and administrative matters.

The National Council on Disability will meet in Washington, D.C., for its quarterly meeting April 22-23.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding two public hearings to discuss its recent automobile emissions rule, April 24 in Philadelphia and April 29 in Chicago.

Different arms of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission are meeting April 23 to discuss a proposed rule to require power plants to have an emergency plan; April 24 to talk about a nuclear station in Texas and risk assessment methods; and April 25 and 26 to discuss another Texas station.

The Food and Drug Administration's Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee is meeting April 30 in Rockville, Md.

The National Science Foundation's business advisory committee is meeting April 30 and May 1 in Arlington, Va.

A council of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is meeting May 3 in Philadelphia to discuss 2014-1016 specifications for clam harvesting.

Extended Comments:

The EPA is extending comments on a proposed rule to allow states to develop clean air implementation plans. The comment period will be open for 30 additional days.
