New regs for Monday: Raising blueberry fees

Fishers in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands will be able to catch more groundfish under a new National Marine Fisheries Service rule.

As The Hill reported on Thursday that the Department of Health and Human Services is proposing stronger standards for child care providers who receive federal funds. 

Strollers and carriages need new safety standards, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. 

The Department of Justice is amending the process for claiming death, disability and educational assistance benefits under the Public Safety Officers program. 

Education:
The Department of Education announced that it will prioritize projects dealing with disability statistics and demographics, community living for people with psychiatric disabilities and technical assistance to states. 

The department is also proposing priorities and requirements for the Race to the Top program for early learning. 

Trade:
The Federal Trade Commission wants to amend rules on textiles to incorporate new standards and update provisions. 

Government employees:
The General Services Administration is updating its rules to replace a reference to an appeals board that no longer exists. 

Energy:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has new security regulations for transporting spent nuclear reactor fuel.
