The Hill is seeking a Facebook Live Producer/Videographer based in Washington D.C.

This videographer will be a key member of a growing team focused on live video. The ideal candidate is an experienced videographer who is creative, resourceful, with a can-do mentality. They should be capable of shooting a video on both a phone or DSLR. They must have a strong knowledge of social media and emerging technology/platforms including Facebook Live. 


  • Shoot, run sound, edit and co-produce on-the-ground video content for Facebook Live

  • Deliver video projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Act as creative partner on ideation of original live video concepts

  • Monitor and report to internal teams on key trends and insights within the video landscape, particularly across the Facebook Live platform

  • Source vendors and potential partnerships to enhance the quality of our Facebook Live streams

  • Keep on top of current events and political news for potential Facebook Live opportunities


  • Minimum 1 year of experience shooting, creating and managing the production of Facebook Live streams

  • Fluency in core video social platforms, and the ability to create compelling, shareable web videos of all types

  • Background in video entertainment, news or similarly related digital consumer media

  • The ability to work fast-paced news environment

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed

  • A track record of coming up with creative solutions for logistical challenges

  • A love of experimentation and trying to tell stories in new and different ways

  • A track record of producing premium, high visibility video for large-scale audiences is a plus
