POLITICAL AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has an opening for a Political Affairs Director in its Washington D.C. office. This individual will manage all aspects of the association’s political involvement programs, to include the political action committee (NAMIC PAC).

This individual will develop and execute fundraising campaigns for NAMIC PAC; create and maintain effective advocacy relationships among NAMIC PAC, the NAMIC membership, and elected officials; establish and maintain relationships with other industry organizations; manage NAMIC’s grassroots program including outreach efforts, communications, and calls to action; and represent NAMIC at political fundraisers and events.

Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of work experience within the political arena, particularly with political action committees, lobbying organizations, and grassroots programs, as well as a proven record of extensive successful fundraising. Experience working at a trade association and working with software systems that support political involvement programs a plus.

Our 1,400 member companies write all lines of property/casualty insurance business and include small, single-state, regional, and national carriers accounting for 50 percent of the automobile/ homeowners market and 32 percent of the business insurance market.
