President Obama had some momentary geographic fun during his Tuesday speech in Osawatomie, Kansas.

"Its great to be back in the state of Texa…,” the president said with a smile. “Oop, state of Kansas.”

Obama explained that he was joking with the University of Kansas basketball coach.

"I was giving Bill Self a hard time; he was here a while back," he said.

While Obama did stumble on the name of the state he visited, the name of the town that lends itself to errors, Osawatomie, he said clearly each time.

Texas wasn't on Obama’s itinerary Tuesday, he flew between Washington D.C. and Kansas City, Missouri.
