Watch live: White House holds press briefing as DACA decision looms

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will answer questions from reporters on Friday afternoon.

The Trump administration is weighing whether to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

A group of 10 states, led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), have threatened to contest the program's legality in court unless Trump rescinds DACA by Sept. 5.

President Trump said Friday that a decision on the program would happen “sometime over the weekend, maybe this afternoon.”

He later told the White House press pool the announcement will happen "probably Sunday, Saturday. Latest will be Monday.”

The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
