Watch live: White House holds press briefing

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will answer questions from reporters Thursday afternoon.

The briefing comes just hours after the U.S. House of Representatives passed their version of a sweeping tax-overhaul bill, following a scheduled visit from President Trump.

It is also the first briefing since sexual assault allegations were made against Democratic Sen. Al Franken (Minn.) at a time when the sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill is receiving national attention.

Sexual misconduct allegations have also been made against Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, with several GOP lawmakers calling for him to leave the race, and others dropping their endorsements.

The briefing is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
