Watch live: White House holds press briefing

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is scheduled to hold a news briefing with reporters on Tuesday afternoon.

The briefing comes amid new questions about whether President Trump's planned summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will take place next month as scheduled.

It also comes as the president has repeated conservative claims that federal law enforcement spied on his campaign, perhaps at the direction of senior leaders in the Obama administration in an effort to sink his chances of winning the 2016 election.

“A lot of people are saying they had spies in my campaign. If they had spies in my campaign, that would be a disgrace to this country," Trump said earlier Tuesday. "It would be very illegal, aside from everything else."

The White House news briefing is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
