Watch live: First White House press briefing in six weeks

The White House will hold a news briefing Monday afternoon with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Russell Vought, the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget.

The first briefing in six weeks was announced just before President Trump unveiled his 2020 budget proposal, which would increase defense spending and provide $8.6 billion to fund his proposed southern border wall.

The news briefing is set to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
